Dawn Booker Munroe is a Senior Staff Interpreter and Assistant to the Executive Director. She joined the KCD staff in October of 1992. She then took a short leave of absence to attend the Basic Interpreter Training Program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville during the summer of 1993. In January of 1994 she took another leave of absence and participated in the Mentorship Program with Sign Language Associates in the Washington DC area. Upon returning, she freelanced for a little over a year and was hired as a Staff Interpreter in December of 1995. Dawn is certified with her CI and CT. She grew up with deaf parents and enjoys music, photography, reading, and sports, especially UT football and the Boston Red Sox.
