Teressa Gregory

Assistant Director Office of Disablity Services,
University of Tennessee

Teressa is an Assistant Director with the Office of Disability Services (ODS) at the University of Tennessee (UT). She has been with the office since 1993. From 1983-1993 she worked for the Tennessee School for the Deaf (TSD) as a cottage counselor and supervior. She is one of the co-founders of InterAct Children's Theatre for the Deaf.

Over the past 26 years Teressa has worked as a full time sign language interpreter for the UT and as an independent contract interpreter for KCD, Pellisippi State Community College, and Carson Newman. She continues to work as an independent contractor with KCD and Sorenson Communication. She has worked as an independent contractor in the mental health field since May 1995 as a group facilitator and individual therapist. She currently serves as a board member on the Tennessee Chapter of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Teressa is a member of the local, state and national level of the Registry of Interpreter for the Deaf (RID) and National Association of Social Workers (NASW). She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education in Human Services with a focus on Educational Interpreting and a Master's degree in Social Work from UT and is a Licensed Master Social Worker with NASW. In her free time, Teressa loves to travel, specifically to warm tropical locations.
