Betty McBroom
Betty McBroom was born in Nashville and grew up in Georgia. She received degrees from Emory University and Gallaudet. After teaching at MSSD in D.C., she moved back to Tennessee when she married a Tennessee guy. She has served several positions at KCD (formerly KACCD): board member, board chair, acting director, when KACCD was between executive directors, and part-time employee as a financial clerk.
She is a teacher and assessment coordinator in the Career Center at Tennessee School for the Deaf and looking forward to retirement. Her retirement days will be spent with the Senior Citizens, KCD, church, and her four grandchildren.
